2022 Season Preview
We had great year of offshore fishing this past year, boating a personal record number of tuna which included several trips in the double digits and four bigeyes. If you’ve ever had the opportunity to catch a bigeye, it’s the ultimate experience in big game fishing. They often show up in “wolf packs,” wreaking havoc in the spread. The bite is unmistakable and unforgettable as the water erupts with a bomb-like explosion and the line peels off the reel at lightning speed. If you are not using the proper gear, you have no chance of landing one of these beasts.
The website has been updated with 2022 pricing. We lost a bunch of trips last season due to weather, so I’m now requiring weather windows when booking offshore trips. For a single day trip, we will schedule two days and fish the best day out of two. For overnighters, we’ll block out three days and fish the best two of three.
We caught these three bigeyes in the Hudson canyon this past summer. We had four on at one time and landed three.
