Benita J is a Northern Bay designed hull custom finished by Mainely Boats in Rockland, Maine.
Finished in 2019, she measures 38 ft in length and has a 13’4” beam. Designed with a downeast built-down style hull, she was built to perform in the harshest sea conditions that can often be found along the New England coast. This design, along with her deep keel, makes Benita J a very stable and seaworthy fishing boat. She has a yacht finish inside the wheelhouse which makes her very comfortable and enjoyable for long distance trips to the canyon.
Benita J holds a Commercial Fishing Vessel Safety Certificate and is approved to fish over 100 miles from the coastline in the cold waters of the North Atlantic. Only vessels who have been outfitted with the highest standard of safety gear and equipment can achieve this status.
