Benita J is a 38' Northern Bay-designed hull custom-finished by Mainely Boats in Rockland, Maine.
Completed in 2019, she measures 38 feet long and has a 13’4” beam. Designed with a Downeast hull, she is built to perform in the harshest sea conditions often found along New England; her deep keel makes Benita J a very stable and seaworthy fishing boat. She features a yacht-style finish inside the wheelhouse, which is enjoyable for long-distance trips and makes her comfortable in the canyon. Benita J holds a Commercial Fishing Vessel Safety Certificate and is approved to fish over 100 miles from the coastline in the cold North Atlantic waters. Only vessels outfitted with the highest safety gear and equipment with the highest safety standards can achieve this status.
