Captain Dave's Beach Haven - LBI Fishing Charters

Welcome to Captain Dave’s Charters, Long Beach Island, New Jersey's premier charter fishing service. Benita J is a 38-foot true Downeast-style sport fishing boat custom-built on the coast of Maine. Benita J is equipped with the latest marine electronics and features a powerful Volvo 670hp diesel engine that allows for a 24-knot cruise. 

Benita J also features a full private head, Sirius Satellite Radio, a complete galley, bunks, and plenty of space to accommodate up to six passengers. Our goal is to provide each and every client with a “wicked” good fishing experience while riding in stability and comfort.

Captain Dave’s Charters offers sport fishing trips from Long Beach Island, NJ, for the professional to the novice fisherman. Depending on where the fish are located, we will depart from either Beach Haven, NJ, using Little Egg Inlet (south end), or Waretown, NJ, using Barnegat Inlet (north end). Offshore canyon trips vary from a day troll to an overnighter. Fishing grounds are from the Hudson Canyon to the Wilmington Canyon and every lump and ledge in between. Inshore Striped Bass trips run out of Barnegat Inlet and are only offered in November and early December.
On our offshore trips, you can expect to catch:

Big-Eye Tuna - Yellowfin Tuna - Albacore Tuna - Bluefin Tuna - Dolphin (Mahi Mahi) - White Marlin - Blue Marlin and Wahoo.

Long Beach Island is perfectly positioned on the New Jersey coast to reach the canyons.
